Three ways to hang the Homba baby cradle.

1. Ceiling Suspension (monolithic concrete ceiling, load-bearing wooden beam)

If you don't have enough space for a stand or want to place the hanging cradle in multiple places, ceiling suspension is the best placement method, provided you have a suitable, stable location. A hole is drilled into the ceiling, a rawlplug with a screw is inserted, and the spring with a carabiner and the cradle is then attached to it.

The Homba baby package includes a carabiner and a spring for hanging. The ceiling suspension set is sold separately.

Important: The load capacity of the ceiling point must be at least 40 kg. For plasterboard ceilings, wooden beams, or old cladding, always consult a construction expert regarding hanging. A reinforced concrete or brick ceiling is ideal.

2. Door clamp for the cradle

If you do not want or cannot drill into the ceiling, the door clamp is a practical solution without permanent intervention in the interior. The Homba baby door clamp can be mounted on a door frame that protrudes at least 5 mm from the wall. The depth of the door frame must be max. 25 cm.

Ensure that the door frame is strong enough and the clamp is properly fitted — regularly check for any shifting. Always place the cradle in the center of the door frame, not at its edge.

Safety and practical advice

Regardless of which hanging method you choose, several fundamental rules apply to ensure your baby's safety.

🔒 The safety rope around the cradle spring is crucial. Always check that the safety rope passes through the upper connecting link, the spring, and the lower carabiner. Adjust the length so that if the spring is damaged, the cradle remains hanging above the ground.

The spring has a load capacity of up to 15 kg, which covers the normal growth rate of a baby up to approximately 10–18 months. From the moment the baby is able to sit up or turn over in the cradle by themselves, use the cradle only with direct adult supervision.

🧼 Before first use, wash the cradle according to the enclosed instructions. Both the cotton material and the mattress cover are washable at low temperatures.

If you are hanging the Homba baby from the ceiling, or on a stand or door clamp, perform a load test using your own weight — hang on the screwed-in hook and check its stability. Regularly verify stability even during use.

Do not hang the cradle near radiators, open flames, curtains, or other objects that the baby could get caught on.
